James Donald Lemke

James D. Lemke, aged 91, peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on March 14, 2025. Originally from Chicago, Mr. Lemke relocated to Dunwoody Georgia in 1978 with his then young family. He enjoyed a successful 37-year career with Nabisco Foods before retiring in 1992.

Mr. Lemke is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jean Lemke, and his son, Jeff Lemke. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Hodges; son, Guy, and his wife, Debra; daughter, Genene Lemke; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.

A memorial mass, followed by a church reception, will be held on March 28, 2025, at 10 AM at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Drive, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328. Mr. Lemke will be laid to rest, alongside Jean and Jeff, with a graveside service on April 4, 2025, at 1 PM at Saint Casimir Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655, with a reception to follow at Americano’s in Beverly, 11060 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60643.
