Janet King Yerta, 86, of Atlanta, died May 13, 2013. Mrs. Yerta was a very generous lady who was sensitive to the needs of others and was always willing to help when needed. Janet loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time feeding and watching wild birds. She was also a very active long-time member of Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church where she belonged to the Radiant Sunday School Class. Mrs. Yerta was preceded in death by her husband, James Yerta and is survived by her brothers, Bobby Bryan King, Sr. (Juanita), Eddie King (Jean); niece, Debbie Radatz (Rick); and nephew, Bobby Bryan King, Jr. (Leia D.). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, 2715 Peachtree Rd., Atlanta, GA 30305. Funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1 o’clock at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 12 o’clock. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
