Jeane S. Withorn

WITHORN, Jeane Stieglitz Neal Withorn passed away on March 30, 2025. Family and friends knew her as “Dinky”. She was preceded in death by parents Jeanette Jones Neal and Thomas E Neal and husband Thomas James Withorn Sr.

Dinky was born in Atlanta on July 11, 1927. She was a graduate of North Fulton High School and the University of Georgia, where she was active in Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was a long time member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Dinky was an avid golfer, bridge player, gardener, an investment club member. She had a love of art and painting and served on both the Cherokee Town and Country Club and Lenbrook Art Committees.

She is survived by her son Tom Withorn Jr. (Gloria), and daughters Jennifer Stegin (John) and Neal Ann Kell (David); grandchildren Melissa Withorn (Benn Wineka), Taylor Withorn,Thomas Withorn, Jenna Stegin, Alyson Stegin, Lacy Stegin; and great grandchildren Truman and Sunday Wineka and Jackson and Jordan Crayton.

A Memorial Service will be held in Dobbs Chapel at Trinity Presbyterian Church on April 9th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church (3003 Howell Mill Road, N.W., Atlanta Georgia 30027) or charity of your choosing in her honor.
