Born in Columbia, South Carolina, and raised in the Winnsboro area, Jeff had an adventurous spirit from an early age. After graduating from the College of Charleston, he set off on a journey west to Tucson, Arizona, where he built a career in the travel industry. His work exposed him to new experiences and wonderful locations around the world, but it was in Tucson where he found his greatest adventure—his life partner, John Miller.
Together, Jeff and John relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, fulfilling Jeff’s dream of living there and being closer to family and Gamecock Country. Their 34 years together were filled with travel, discovery, laughter, and love. Jeff’s compassion extended beyond people; he had a deep love for animals, leading him to serve on the board of PALS Atlanta, where he helped support pets and their owners in times of need.
Jeff is survived by his beloved spouse, John Miller, and their cherished fur babies, Punkin and Peanut. He also leaves behind his devoted parents, George and Lou Oxner; his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Michelle Oxner; his niece Miranda Amick, her husband Jake, and their children Charley and Kase, whom he adored, and his nephew Austin Oxner, and a great niece Evelyn Oxner
Jeff’s warmth and kindness touched countless lives. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to PALS Atlanta in Jeff's name. He felt passionate about pets and he nor I were ever big on flowers.
