

John “Jack” Linton Johns, III, 56, of Atlanta died on Saturday, the 10th of January 2015. Born in Columbus and raised in Buena Vista, Georgia he was the son of the late Mary Pierce Murray Johns and John Linton Johns, Jr. Jack graduated from Southland Academy in Americus, GA in 1976 and attained his BS degree in Accounting from Auburn University in 1979. He was a member of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip. Jack was the Vice President of Client Services for Financial Management Solutions, Inc. in Alpharetta. He brought to FMSI more than 20 years of financial services expertise. A lover of dogs he volunteered with Canine Assistants Inc. of Alpharetta, the Cherokee County Humane Society and was a strong supporter of K9’s for Warriors, a veteran’s organization. Surviving are his sister and brother in law, Lin and David Jordan; 2 nephews and their wives, Hank and Elizabeth Jordan, John and Nicole Jordan; great-niece, Mary Pierce Jordan, and 2 great-nephews, Henry and Harris Jordan. Memorial services celebrating Jack’s life will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 o’clock in the Mikell Chapel at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, the Homeless Pets Foundation, PO Box 7194, Marietta, GA 30062 or K9’s for Warriors, 260 South Roscoe Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
