Born to Parents Myra Sadler Bowen (1905-1999) and Dr. Louis R. Bowen (1908-1988) of Eustis, FL. He is proceeded in death by his parents and younger brother, Robert Sadler Bowen (1939-1965). Dick was the oldest of two sons, his younger brother, Bob passed away December 6, 1965. Dick is survived by his wife, Kay Bowen, son Richard, daughter Christine, two step-daughters, eight grandchildren, and one niece, Susan. Dick graduated high school from Bolles Military Academy in 1955, in Jacsonville, FL, then went on to attend Emory University in Atlanta, GA then continued his education at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA where he obtained a degree in criminal law.
Dick served in the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover from 1959-1962. Dick returned to Winter Park, FL where he joined a law firm and then served as Public Defender before starting his own law practice in Winter Park. Dick’s hobbies included woodworking and Highlands, NC.
