Louise “Weezie” J. Stewart passed away Saturday morning, April 11, 2026. Weezie, born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 2, 1949, was the daughter of Henry J. and June C. Jasiewicki. Hers was a spirited life of adventure and variety, punctuated by an intense desire to, as William David Thoreau put it in his classic, "Walden," “….live deep and suck out all the marrow of life.”
She did. Right up to the end. Never fading into the dark night of life but dancing right through to her last breath, leaving an indelible impression. Weezie did so through her numerous avocations of tennis, golf, fitness, and lasting friendships cultivated along the way.
She leaves behind a sibling and her beloved daughters and their families to mourn her absence: sister, Gail Higbee; Dawn Stewart and son, Emory Vinsant; Kim Stewart Gies and husband, Jeff, and their sons, Paul and Henry. She was predeceased by Ray W. Stewart.
