Margaret Redwine Gay, 94, a longtime resident of Atlanta died on Sunday the 12th of June 2016. She was born in Fayetteville, Georgia and raised in Atlanta, the daughter of the late William Jefferson and Marie Hall Redwine. She was the wife of the late James David “J.D.” Gay, Jr, the operator of the former Miss Georgia Dairies. In addition to J.D. she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Gay Maddox and sisters, Charline R. Davies, Opal R Hilton and Marion R. Carter. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and John Bradbury of Sandy Springs; son, David Gay of Atlanta; grandchildren, Margaret Gilchrist; and Wain Maddox 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, the 20th of June at eleven o’clock in the morning in the state room at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel. Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from ten o’clock until the hour of service. The rite of committal will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
