Margaret Ann VandeNoord

Margaret Ann VandeNoord passed away on February 1, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born on March 8, 1924 in Morristown, TN. Margaret was raised in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Knoxville High. She attended Brenau College where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

In 1945 she married George J. VandeNoord and they lived in Sandy Springs, GA throughout their marriage. She was a member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. Margaret lived her life always serving others. For years she and George were a host family for Rotary international exchange students.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, William B. Neal and Eura P. Neal, her loving husband George, her son Dutch VandeNoord, and her sister Patricia Neal. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ann and Brad Campbell, her granddaughters Ashley Campbell and Allison Campbell Tate and her husband, Austin Tate, and her great-grandson, Jack Tate. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Charlcie Neal and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 4th in the chapel at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
