Marvin L. Walker passed away of natural causes on October 2nd in Atlanta, Georgia. He was 92 years old. In 1952 he founded Walker Zanger, a prominent tile company that he later sold his interest in and in 1969 he founded Marvin L. Walker & Associates in Atlanta, which he built into a large furniture and stone company. He will be remembered for his prominent role in the furniture and natural stone industry, as well as for the tales of his travels around the world which he loved to share. Marvin was born in New York City to his parents Max and Flora. He is survived by his wife: Donna, his children: Alexis, Theresa (Mat), and Casey (Stephanie), his grandchildren: Trevor, Payton, Ella, Dylan, Mia, Matthew, Luke, Olivia, Jack, and Hannah, his daughters in law: Mona and Judy. Marvin was preceded in death by his son Richard and grand-daughter Ava. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 4pm.
