

Dr. Maurizio Gianturco, Innovator, Leader, Husband, Father, and Friend died peacefully at his beloved lake house on Monday, the 27th of March 2017 with his family at his side. He was 88. Maurizio came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar in 1953. While he always loved his native land, Italy, he came to appreciate the can-do spirit of his adopted country. Maurizio was preceded in death by his children’s mother, Rita, and is survived by his wife, Dina Gianturco; sons and daughters-in-law, Giulio and Suzette Gianturco, Luca and Kathy Gianturco; daughter and son-in-law, Stella Minevich and Sasha Gokhman; 7 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews including John Clayman, son of Gabriella (Pitty), his beloved sister. A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, the 30th of March at eleven o’clock at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A visitation with the family will commence at ten o’clock. The rite of committal will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
