Maynard W. "Bill" Osborne

Maynard W. (Bill) Osborne, born December 10th 1928, passed away Tuesday, the 24th of March 2015 after a valiant and stubborn fight with cancer. He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Betty Jo; son, Richard Osborne and daughter-in-law, Karin; daughter, Angela Woods and son-in- law, Billy; brother, Grier Osborne and wife, Joanne; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher and his wife, Anna, Ashley, Caroline , Lilly Osborne, Trey and Alex Woods; and one great grandchild, Adelyn. Leaving his home in Lula, GA at the age of thirteen, Bill traveled to Atlanta and soon became a Journeyman plate maker in the printing industry. After meeting and marrying Betty Jo, Bill's drive to make a comfortable life for his family led him to a very successful career as an entrepreneur and investor in commercial real estate. Throughout his life, Bill has always been a true Southern gentleman to all he met and knew, even during his illness. Bill's love of a healthy life, family, and sharp sense of humor will be greatly missed by those he left behind. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, the 28th of March at two o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
