Mose Booth Smith

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kristin Stuart Smith, his sister, Quinton Smith (Kip Norton) of Little Rock, AR, his brother, Reid Smith (Kelly Streva) of Youngsville, LA, his sister, Lucy Leach (Alfred) of Chapel Hill, NC, his half-brother, Lincoln Smith of Chicago, IL, his father-in-law Dr. William Stuart, brother-in-law, Dr. Doug Stuart (Maria), sister-in-law, Beth Stuart, and lots of nieces and nephews and their families.

Mose attended Pace Academy and graduated from Northside High School in 1980. He attended the University of AR where he pledged Phi Delta Theta. He worked in many established bars and restaurants in the metro Atlanta area including Hedgens, Chameleon Club, Smith’s Olde Bar, Central City Tavern and Five Seasons Brewery where he was loved by all who knew him. Mose was an avid music lover and lifelong guitar player. His band, Root 88, was made up of close high school buddies whom he remained friends with up until his passing.

Mose will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church on June 20th at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow.
