Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr, 70, of Marietta, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Holmes, a daughter Abby Ballinger (Mark), sons, John T. Holmes (Elizabeth) and Mark Holmes (Emalee). He had 7 grandchildren. Oliver was born in Union Springs, AL on July 1, 1951 to Oliver Wendell Holmes and Carolyn O'Connell Holmes. He is survived by four siblings, Cathy Haines, Ann Sweeny, Jennie Reeves and Thomas Holmes. Oliver attended the University of Texas at El Paso where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He was a partner with the CPA firm of Carr, Riggs, and Ingram in Atlanta and his professional career spanned 40 plus years. He was past President of the Phoenix Society and the Peachtree Racket Club.
