Peggy Lou Negus, 88, of Dunwoody, Georgia passed away August 21, 2025. Peggy was born in Adams, Massachusetts on August 22, 1936 to Dominic and Lucy Yuliano. She was a graduate of Adams High School and Green Mountain College.
Peggy worked in New York City as a receptionist and executive assistant for F. Schumacher and Co. before marrying her loving husband Richard Hartwell Negus in 1960. After raising their three children, she returned to her role as an executive assistant in the 1980s.
Peggy enjoyed reading, attending sporting events (especially her beloved Duke basketball) and playing bridge. Peggy and Richard loved travelling together and hosting holiday dinners. She was a devoted wife and mother who always promoted education, and was, in her own words, “only as happy as her least happy child.”
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Richard. She is survived by her children: Dr. Brian Negus (Mary) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; David Negus (Suzie) of Dunwoody, Georgia; and Donna Crawford (Ralph Moses) of Alpharetta, Georgia; and grandchildren Mitchell, Andrew, William, Cari, Anna and Sean Negus. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church with visitation before the funeral in the church narthex. Fr. Michael Silloway will serve as the celebrant. Burial will follow for family members at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs.
