Rastin Nezhat, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle as well as a friend and mentor to many, joined the Heavens at his Brookhaven home in the early morning of October 16, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Rastin was born January 16, 1934 in Shahreza, Iran becoming a professor of psychology. After moving to the US with his family in the early 1980’s, he devoted himself to supporting and mentoring them throughout their lives and careers. Rastin had the heart of a poet, greatly enjoying Persian poetry and music. He treasured his time gardening, while always planning his next excursion traveling throughout the world. Mostly, he loved his moments with his family and they with him. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
