Robert George Milne Sr.

Robert George Milne Sr. 87 years old, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2021. He suffered a long time from Alzheimer's disease and a short time with Covid. Originally from Hopatcong, NJ and lived in Arizona for several years and has been living in Gainesville, GA with his daughter Diana Milne Smith his son in law Ralph Smith. Robert served in the Army and is a Korean War Veteran. Born in Morristown NJ to Walter and Jennie Alise Milne. His mother died from complications during his birth. He was raised by Walter and Verna Burnakas Milne. In 1958, he married Mary Ann Paolella and had a loving marriage for 63 years. Together they raised 5 children, 2 daughters and 3 sons. Robert was a hard worker, owned, and operated his own flooring business for many years in NJ. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, weightlifting and karate, day trips, Big Band music and instructing yoga classes. A devoted Catholic, he volunteered in the Sun City West Posse and West Side Food Bank in Arizona. Survived by his wife Mary Anne Paolella, daughters Diana and husband Ralph Smith of Gainesville GA, Mary Schimmer of Casa Grande AZ & Jonathan Schimmer, Sons Robert Jr and wife Nancy of Lake Hopatcong NJ, John and wife Jana of Chicago IL, Thomas and wife Lisa of Pelham, NH. Three Grandchildren Stephanie Liberman, Emily Schimmer and Alex Milne. Extended Family and Friends. In lieu of flowers, please donation to your local hospice.
