Roxy was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart disease called pulmonary vein stenosis, and she peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 22nd, 2024.
Roxy had a smile that lit up a room, and she was always smiling. Her happiness was inspiring in the face of her medical issues. Roxy loved people, so much so that her nurses decided to sit her in the doorway of her hospital room, so she could smile at everyone as they walked by. Roxy loved to listen to her dad and grandmother sing to her, and she loved to watch her sisters play.
Roxy’s oldest sister nicknamed her Sparkles before she was born. Roxy’s smile and personality lived up to the name. Roxy’s smile sparkled everywhere she went and she will forever sparkle in the hearts of those who knew her.
Roxy will be remembered and missed by her family. She is survived by her mother and father, Adrienne and Matthew Hunt, her adoring sisters, Ruthie and Ruby Hunt, her grandparents, Lee and Jerita Hunt and Tony and Jean Wood, her great grandmother, Linda Hunt, seven aunts and uncles, and ten cousins.
The family will accept visitors Sunday afternoon, August 25th, from 2-4PM at the H.M. Patterson & Sons in Sandy Springs. A celebration of Roxy’s life will take place at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Sandy Springs on August 26th at 2:30 PM with visitation with the family starting at 1:30 PM, prior to the service.
