Roy William Ammann

Mr. Roy W Ammann, 66, of Marietta, GA died Monday, the 31st of July, 2017. Roy was born in Mineola, NY on November 4, 1950. He was the loving son of Eugene G. Ammann and Charlotte H. Ammann, younger brother of Eugene G. Ammann, JR, and brother-in-law of Jann Berry Ammann. He made his home in Atlanta, GA, attending Lakeside HS as a gifted athlete (earned 10 varsity letters in football, baseball, and wrestling). He graduated from Georgia Southern University as a student/athlete on a baseball scholarship. He made life-long friends during those school years, picked up the nickname “Bo”, and was a charter member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Roy spent the rest of his life, and worked, in the Atlanta area. He worked hard to make a nice life for himself, never finding the right woman to share it with. He was always ready to have fun with family and friends during holidays and special occasions, and sometimes would travel to enjoy some vacation time. We are all sad that Roy has left us too soon. May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, Roy would have wanted memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society. Friends are invited to visit with his family on Thursday the 17th of August at one o’clock with a memorial service following at two o’clock at H.M.
