R. Carolyn Aycock-Gusdon of Atlanta, GA passed away on May 4, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Ruth Gallagher, her first husband, William L . Aycock, and her second husband Dr. John P. Gusdon, Jr. She is survived by three stepchildren, Dr. John Gusdon and his wife Lavonia, Marguerite Gusdon, and Veronique Hart and her husband Dr. Steve Hart, as well as four grandchildren, Simone, Sophie, John Gabriel, and Alex, and her dear friends, Mimi Tatum Phillips, Nicole Green, and Patsy Phillips. Carolyn graduated from Georgia State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. She was also an early member of the City Club of Buckhead, and a volunteer at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Carolyn was a loving guardian to her three schnauzers, Bo, Katie, and Dixie. Carolyn was a smart, sophisticated, and compassionate lady with an unmatched charm that was apparent immediately to all who met her. Carolyn will be greatly missed by those that knew her. Interment services were private at Arlington Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
