Sadie White Roden

Sadie Mae White Roden, 88, of Atlanta died January 23, 2021. Mrs. Roden retired from the IRS after a successful career as a Supervisory Tax Examiner. She also had a passion for Round Dance and was a cuer. Sadie was one of the first women to learn this profession and was often called to be a guest cuer in many clubs throughout the southeast. Mrs. Roden and her late husband Harold formed their own dance club called Roden’s Rounders and they were invited to entertain on many cruise ships throughout their careers. She is survived by her nieces, Sandra, Vicki and Karen; brother-in-law, Jim; sisters-in-law, Betty and Linda; and life-long friends Tab and Francis. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the caring staff of Sunrise of Buckhead Assisted Living and Homestead Hospice. They would also like to recognize Chamone Butler for the tireless care she provided to Sadie. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 3 o'clock.
