Steve Oscar Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. Steve, also known as “Buddy” to his Tennessee family, or “Piney” to his Georgia family, was born in Piney Flats, Tennessee, the youngest child of the late Tom D. and Maggie Irene Shew Williams. Steve was valedictorian of his class at Mary Hughes High School in Piney Flats, held many leadership positions during his time at King College in Bristol, Tennessee, where he graduated cum laude, and received a master’s degree in finance and management from Georgia State University. Steve was an accomplished sales and businessman, recently retired as an owner and Vice President of Utilicom Supply Associates, Inc. in Norcross, Georgia. He enjoyed Braves baseball, fantasy baseball, and “guy” trips with his friends; but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his young grandson, Bryson. Steve is survived in death by his wife Kathy, daughter Beth, son-in-law McNeal Hill, and grandson Bryson, siblings Johnny Williams and Mary Robinson, and many other beloved nieces and nephews. A private service in celebration of Steve’s life will be held in Atlanta for family and close friends.
