niece, cousin and friend. She left this world on September 9,
2024, after surviving a life changing accident and battling a
lengthy illness.
Tonya graduated from Norcross High School in 1989, earned a degree at the Ivan Allen school of Management at Georgia Tech and worked at IBM for over 20 years before she became disabled.
She enjoyed laughing, traveling, going to Lake Lanier, being with her friends and extended family at beach vacations and traditional Thanksgiving family reunions. Tonya also loved watching Nascar with her late Uncle Ronnie. She especially loved her precious dog and constant companion, Higgy.
Survivors include her mother, Brenda Hunt Norman, of Cumming, GA; father, Gorman Brothers, of Evansville, IN; stepsister, Heather Brothers Smith, of Evansville, IN; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tonya is preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Richard (Dick) Norman; grandparents, Guy and Louise (Lucy) Hunt, and, Elmo and Evie Brothers; sister, Ashlea Lynn Brothers; cousin, Mike Titzer; several aunts and uncles.
Tonya’s wishes for no service is being honored.
