

William “Bill” Lollie Stubbs, Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015. He is the oldest son of Sarah Margaret Carter Stubbs and William Lollie Stubbs, Sr., and is preceded in death by sisters Henrietta Ruth Stubbs Huff and Frances Lorraine Stubbs Nation as well as his brother John Livingston Stubbs. William Stubbs was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 23, 1921, and began working at a young age. Prior to his service in the Navy, which began in 1944 during World War II, he was employed by Southern Railway Company. While in the Navy he enrolled in the U.S. Naval Electrical School and worked as an electrician. After his military service and several more years as an electrician and electrical contractor, he founded Inglett & Stubbs, Inc. in 1954 with Ray Inglett. Mr. Stubbs is survived by his wife of 73 years, Sarah Louise Cash Stubbs; his daughter Dr. Gayle Stubbs Rozantine and her husband Dr. Barry Rozantine; grandchildren Pat, Webb, Greg, Ben, Paul, and their spouses; 9 great-grandchildren; extended family, and friends. Among other things he will be remembered for his devotion to family, his humor, and his caring nature. Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2 o’clock with the family receiving friends beginning at 1 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
