William Werner

William Arthur Werner, Sr. (Bill) of Atlanta, GA passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard William Werner and Siri Hokanson Werner, and is survived by his wife, Pamela Mathews Werner; his four sons, Daniel Clayton Werner, Sr., Brian Bowie Werner, William Arthur Werner, Jr. and Chadwick Mattison Werner; his brother, Richard Victor Werner; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill was born in Piedmont Hospital on June 6, 1942. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with honors, from Emory University and, following graduation, joined his father, uncle, brother and others in the family scaffolding business – Saf-T-Green of Atlanta, Inc. Bill spent his entire career at Saf-T-Green, acting as its corporate secretary.

When not working, Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He coached more than his fair share of little league sports teams and chaperoned countless school field trips. He was as sweet and selfless as they come and will be missed dearly by the many people whose lives he touched.

Services will be held for Bill at H.M. Patterson and Son Chapel, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 on Saturday, August 6, 2022, with visitation available between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and a memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow immediately after the memorial service at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt Vernon Hwy NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
