Andrew E. Amoroso, 83, of DeBary, FL waited for last rites to be completed by a priest on August 13, 2014 before joining the kingdom of heaven. His last week was spent like so many others doing the things that he loved with the people most special to him. From eating a farmers pancake at First Watch to ushering at the Sunday mass at the Church of the Annunciation to enjoying a glass of wine with dinner at home with his wife of 15 years, Linda Amoroso. Andy was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a past President and current member of the Italian-American Club of Annunciation Catholic Church, a church Usher, a retired Orange County School Board carpenter and member of the meat-cutter’s union. Andy’s life and legacy will live on through his children Lisa Amoroso, Lenore Amoroso and Mario Drew Amoroso and family, through his sisters Pauline and Nellie and brother Manny, brother-in-law Nick and Joann Campo, his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. Andy’s wife of 32 years, Cookie Amoroso, preceded him in death in 1990. Andy loved woodworking, dances at the Italian-American Club, cooking chicken wings, drinking a glass of wine, seeing his “girls” on Saturdays and he always loved visiting his pride and joy – his son. He loved spending one-half of his life in Brooklyn and Long Island, New York and the other half of his life living in Altamonte Springs, FL. Andy built a life rich with family, friends and tradition. He passed peacefully. A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, Longwood, FL.
