Barbara Ann Tressler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong educator, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 12, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on January 20, 1937, in Boynton Beach, Florida, Barbara lived a life rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her as a devoted wife, mother, and teacher.
A woman of remarkable dedication, Barbara served her community as an elementary school teacher for 35 years. She had a passion for helping her students grow, and her legacy lives on in the thousands of lives she touched in the classroom. Even after her retirement, she remained a "teacher at heart," always ready with a word of encouragement or a wise lesson rooted in the grace she found in her faith.
Barbara was the heart of the Tressler home. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Earl Tressler, and is now reunited with him in the presence of their Creator. Together, they built a family founded on love and faith, which continues through their three children: Sheryl Gload and husband Richard; Keith Tressler and wife Susan; and Rhonda Carney and husband Mark.
She was a proud and doting grandmother to David Tressler, Nathan Tressler, and Melody Gload. To her grandchildren, she was a source of warmth and wisdom, always embodying the resilience and Christian character she taught to so many others over the decades.
Born and raised in the coastal beauty of Boynton Beach, Barbara carried the spirit of her Florida roots and her steady faith throughout her 89 years. She will be deeply missed by her family, her former students, and the community she called home for nearly nine decades.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771, US, on April 18, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
