

Carl Thomas Cockman, 72, of Lake Mary, Florida: and formerly Anderson, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Carl was born in Anderson, Indiana on September 28, 1943; the son of William Carl and Vinita Belle Cockman. After graduating Madison Heights High School in 1961, he began working for Nicholson File. Following that he worked at Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 34 years, retiring as materials manager. He also worked at Delco Remy America as a materials manager; and finally as a consultant for Continental Design and Engineering. He retired to Lake Mary, Florida in 2009. While in Florida, he was a part of the Trailblazer Committee that formed to establish the walking trails and foot bridges in Seminole County. He was a car collector, and an avid Sprint series race fan, traveling in his travel trailer with his best friend to many racing events. Carl was a member of the Grand Masonic Lodge of Indiana, Murat Temple and Scottish Rite. Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory, his significant other of 40 years Julie Roudebush, sons William Michael Cockman of Shirley, Indiana, Steven Wade Cockman of Daleville, Indiana, grandsons Logan and Sterling Cockman, his brother Mike Cockman of Melbourne, Florida, and his sister Darlene Dunn of Memphis Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents. In keeping with Carl’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and there are no current plans for services at this time.
