Clyde Holmes "Robbie" Robertson Jr, 69, passed away on August 9, 2025, in Lake Mary, Florida. A lifelong Floridian, Robbie was born on August 11, 1955, in Sanford, where he would go on to leave a lasting legacy rooted in family, faith, and community.
Robbie attended Trinity Preparatory School before enrolling at Mercer University. While at Mercer, he joined the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, forming friendships that would last a lifetime. His time there helped shape the values and relationships that guided him throughout his life.
Following his education, Robbie dedicated his professional life to Thermotane Propane, the family business founded by his father, Clyde Sr, in downtown Sanford. With integrity and warmth, he helped grow the company while maintaining its commitment to customer care. He treated every client with respect and kindness-a reflection of his deeply held belief in putting others first. Of all his professional accomplishments, Robbie took the greatest pride in working alongside his son Chandler for the past 15 years.
Robbie's devotion to family was unwavering. He is survived by his beloved wife Lisa and their three sons: Matthew (Ashley), Bryan (Christen), and Chandler (Marissa). His legacy continues through his nine cherished grandchildren: Barnabas, Ezekiel, and Asa; Clyde, Loren, and Casey; and Arrow, Brighton, and Lavender.
A man of deep Christian faith, Robbie and Lisa were longtime members of Orangewood Church. His beliefs were not only central to how he lived but also evident in how he loved-especially in the way he supported Lisa and raised their sons with humility and grace.
Outside of work and family life, Robbie found joy on the golf course. An avid golfer for many years, he built lasting friendships through countless rounds at Mayfair and Heathrow. He also spent a significant part of his life in Blairsville, GA where he had a house in the mountains. He spent numerous hours watching the birds, having deer and turkeys eat in the field, and walking through the creek with his sons and grandsons.
Those who knew Robbie remember him as the kindest and most selfless person-someone who consistently put others before himself. His gentle spirit touched many lives across generations.
A celebration of life will be held at Northland Church on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 10 AM.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness for years to come.
