

After graduating from Foley High School in Foley, Alabama, Dorothy enlisted in the US Navy in 1951. After marrying her husband Vernon Feddersen, she was honorably discharged from the Navy. Mrs. Feddersen and her husband were married for 67 years.
Dorothy Feddersen was a very loving and wonderful mother and involved with her children’s’ school as a home room mother. She was also dedicated to her community and involved in various organizations. She was a member of the Republican Women’s Club, The Rotary Club, one of the founding members of Sanford Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and a member of the Fleet Reserve Women’s Club.
Outside of her community activities, Mrs. Feddersen enjoyed going to her weekly hair and nail appointments, baking her famous carrot and Christmas rum cakes from her mother’s recipe. She enjoyed watching football with former quarterbacks, Joe Montana, Joe Namath and Kenny Stabler. Her favorite football coach was Bear Bryant of Alabama and was a dedicated fan of the Crimson Tide.
Mrs. Feddersen leaves behind her daughters, Dianne Feddersen and Cynthia (Mike) Davis; granddaughters Heather (Travis) Kunst and Holli (Randall) Baeza and five great grandchildren.
Proceeding her in death is her husband Vernon Feddersen and other family members.
