

Edward Wesley Fraser, 83, of Sanford went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2016, from his residence where he was surrounded by family. Ed was born on May 19, 1933 in Collingdale, Pennsylvania; the son of Albert and Mae Fraser. Ed married his bride Helen Jacobs Fraser in 1953; and they have shared 63 years of marriage. Ed served our country bravely in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Central Florida Baptist Church in Sanford, and a brother Mason. He enjoyed fishing, and more importantly spending time with his family. Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Helen, sons Kenneth Fraser and wife Doris of Celebration, son Michael Fraser of Deltona, daughters Diane McCaughan of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Carol Catron and husband Kenneth of Apopka, Marlene Gilmore and husband Jim; twelve grandchildren Michael McCaughan, Jason Fraser and wife Emily, Laura Strawbridge and husband Vincent, Matthew Catron and wife Nicki, Ashley Gilmore, Jennifer Bland and husband Benjamin, Ryan Fraser and wife Heidi, Andrew Catron, Courtney Gilmore, Bradley Fraser, James Gilmore, and Hannah Fraser; nine great grandchildren, brothers William Donat and David Fraser, sister Ruth Stinson, and countless extended family and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Shelley Gilmore-Byler, and son-in-law Dave McCaughan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2106 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.. at Central Florida Baptist Church in Sanford. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M.. in the church, with burial to follow in Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Sanford.In lieu of flowers please make donations to Wycliff Bible Translators, c/o Ryan Fraser, PO BOX 628200 Orlando FL.
