Emma Lou Thompson was born in Headland AL on April 3, 1937. She entered Heaven’s gates on October 22, 2015. A long time resident of Sanford FL., Emma had an unwavering faith in God. She took every opportunity to share His message of salvation with others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Although, she gave birth to five children of her own, she unofficially adopted many more, as she had a caring spirit that was continually overflowing. Her goal in life was to live so that others would see Jesus in her. She never met a stranger. Emma was predeceased by her loving husband of 37 years, Calvin C. Thompson. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Cathy Denise Sneed, four brothers, John Henry Jones Jr., Willie Beuford Jones, Richard Bennett Medlock, Joel Medlock, and two sisters, Hazel Jones Johnson, Mary Louise Medlock. Emma is survived by her brother Walter Johnson (Las Vegas NV) Daughters: Hope Regina Peterson Janvier, Sanford FL, Cheryl Thompson, Albany GA. Sons: Ferman Barrett, Orlando FL., Christopher Leo Peterson, Sanford FL., Cornell Thompson, Dallas TX., Leo Peterson II, Denver, CO. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.
