Epifanio Badillo Soto

On behalf of the Badillo family I would like to begin by thanking everyone that is here today and for those who have sent their condolences. The family has received countless phone calls, text messages and thoughts and prayers. They have been both comforting during this difficult time and a have been a reminder of the love that so many had for Eppy.

Epifanio Badillo was born April 7th 1940 in Aguadilla P.R. He passed on December 31st 2023 at Lake Nona VA Hospice. He resided at 1524 Cherry Ridge Drive in Heathrow Florida.

Born one of 9 siblings to Maximino and Cefferina Badillo. He is preceded by brothers Jose Badillo, Jose Luis Badillo and Chinto Badillo. Survived by his two daughters Maria and Ivonne (Sayedul Rahman) and two sons Carlos and Jorge. 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren, Siblings Engracia, Maria, Rosa, Nelson and Zenaida.

Eppy came to New York at the age of 18 and worked hard to support his family. He had his own grocery store, apartment buildings and was even a boxer in his days. Although he worked many jobs he retired at 62 from New York Technical College, United States Postal Service and United States Army after 22 years active service and 2 years in the reserve.

We are here united in our love and today we honor you for touching us all. It’s hard to say goodbye to someone who had such an impact on our lives. But if we hold on to those good memories in our hearts and minds we can have peace and comfort knowing that he will always be with us.

Funeral service swill held at 10 am on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Baldwin -Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 CR 46 A, Sanford, FL 32771 followed by a reception at the funeral home.
