Erasmo Sciacca

Erasmo Sciacca, 79, of Sanford Florida passed away Friday, March 11, 2016. Erasmo was born on December 8, 1936 in Sicily, Italy; the son of Vincenzo and Mattia Sciacca. He worked for 25 years as a supervisor for The New York Transit system. Erasmo married Frances Connelly in 1995. He was a member of Kiwanis International; and had previously been a volunteer fireman in Selden, New York. Erasmo was an automobile enthusiast, who enjoyed fishing and golf, and was a real family man with a unique sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Erasmo leaves behind to honor and cherish his memory his wife Frances Sciacca, son James Sciacca and his wife Cheryl of Tennessee, daughter Judith Sciacca-Scott of Arizona, step-daughter Elaine Collins and her husband Gregory of Florida, eleven grandchildren Dannielle Scott, Amanda Scott, Michael Sciacca-Scott, Marissa Sciacca, Julianna Sciacca, Isabella Sciacca, John Collins, Kayla Collins, Matthew Collins, Michael Collins, Tabitha Sciacca, 2 great grandchildren Tobias and Jack, as well as countless friends. Erasmo was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial mass will take place Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10 am at All Souls Catholic Historic Chapel, 800 S. Oak Ave, Sanford, Florida 32771
