Gladys Foshee Brooks

She was born in Thorsby, Alabama on January 21, 1933 and graduated from Chilton County High School. Gladys worked in the hotel industry for 9 years and held the position of Director of Operations for 8 Holiday Inns in the 1960’s and 1970’s in Orlando. She then opened her own accounting practice, Stoughton Accounting and ran that for 22 years.

Gladys was a member of the Central Church of Sanford. Her passion was Interior Design, Gardening and Cooking. She loved to travel and soak up the sun at the beach.

Gladys was a loving Mother to her two daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the Matriarch of the family.

She is survived by her Husband: Robert A. Brooks, Two daughters: Deborah Billingsley Ward and Sharon Billingsley Baragona, Grandchildren: Kolby Norris, Alana Norris, Angela Baragona Andre and Nicholas Baragona, all from Central Florida. Brother: James Foshee. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Irene Bone Jenkins and Ellis Foshee and brothers: Edgar Foshee and Luther Foshee.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Central Church of Sanford, 3101 FL-46, Sanford, Florida followed by a burial at Oaklawn Park Cemetery and a Celebration of Life reception at Lake Forest Clubhouse in Sanford.
