Janice Murline Howell, 68, of Sanford, passed away November 1, 2017. Janice was born in Morven, Georgia on April 26, 1949; the daughter of Isaiah and Wilma Howell. Janice graduated from Washington Street High School in Quitman, Georgia. She formerly attended New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Morven, Georgia. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She moved to Sanford from Atlanta in 2016. Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Derrick Howell and wife Kimberly of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter Dr. CaSaundra Howell of Sanford, a granddaughter, Kierra Howell, whom she raised as her own after the passing of her daughter, ten other grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her brother Israel Howell and wife Bernice of Atlanta, and her sister Betty Wilfork of Fort Valley, Georgia. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Kimberly Howell in 2002. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 2:30 to 3:00 pm in Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, with services beginning at 3:00 pm. Her family suggests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
