J.T. is survived by his parents, Jerry and Cheryle (Meek) Brenner; his grandmother, Virginia Meek; his sister, Pyper Brenner; his children, Dakota, Aysia, Elizabeth, Preston and Knox Brenner; and grandson, Bellamy Morrison.
J.T. graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, where he majored in Construction Management.
In 2006, J.T. began serving in the United States Army where he served more than eight years and earned the rank of Captain. He was deployed to Iraq twice, and during his second deployment was the Engagements Officer to the Commanding General (Maneuver), 3rd Infantry Division, US Division North-Iraq, for which he was awarded a Bronze star for meritorious service. While preparing to transition out of the Army, J.T. earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Masters Certificate from Villanova University.
Later, J.T. returned to working in construction management, where he became a division manager for Century Communities in Florida. He was actively helping to develop more land for affordable new homes.
Most importantly during J.T.’s last 24 years, he prized the time he spent with his children. Together they enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, skiing, and tubing. They enjoyed so many fun outdoor activities where laughter and joking were always a prime part of all their shared times. So much joyful noise could be heard whether they played cards or had fun with board games.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, September 20, at 3:00 pm at the Condit Presbyterian Church in Sunbury, Ohio.
