

Lettie Princess Tyer, known to her friends as Penny, age 89 of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on January 18, 2017. Penny, originally from Monroe County, West Virginia, was a homemaker who had a passion for art. She attended the Honolulu Academy of Art, took classes at Seminole State College, and received several awards for her original works. She refined her natural talents by attending workshops with nationally known artists. She was a long time member of the Sanford Seminole Art Association and participated in classes at the Casselberry Art House. She faithfully attended Starlight Baptist Church and considered its members to be her extended family. She will be forever missed and loved by her daughter Pamela Jordon, son-in law Timothy Jordon, her granddaughters Samantha Morrissey and Yvonne Jordon, as well as her great grandchildren Kaleigh and Gavin Morrissey. She is survived by her brother Marshall Dalton and her many nieces and nephews. She is in heaven now, reunited with her husband of 47 years, William Tyer. A celebration and remembrance of Penny’s life will be held at Starlight Baptist Church, Winter Springs, Florida on January 21, 2017.
