He was the devoted father of Lisa Misunas and Anita Misunas-Omdahl; adoring grandfather of Arielle Moore and Dylan Omdahl; supportive father-in-law of Keith Goldfarb and James Omdahl; and fond brother of the late Alice Falesky.
He was a New York State Corrections Officer and accomplished musician, having played the saxophone and clarinet since his days as a member of his high school band.
Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially doting on his two grandchildren. He was an avid traveler, embarking on trips to Europe and cruising in the Caribbean. He was an early riser who took long walks every morning, followed up by reading his morning papers with a hot cup of coffee. Stanley also enjoyed honing his musical skills by vigilantly practicing on his saxophone and clarinet on a daily basis.
The family will be planning a private service of remembrance within the coming weeks.
