Barbara Jean Snyder, 81, passed away peacefully in the early hours of February 20, 2020. Born Barbara Jean Broyles on May 7, 1938 in Doniphan, Missouri, she was the last surviving of nine siblings. Barbara grew up in Streator, Illinois where she met her husband of 33 years, James William Snyder, who preceded her in death in 1989. Barbara was world-renowned for her lack of patience, her strength and fearlessness. She had a knack for speaking her mind and for not being afraid to tell it like it is. She leaves behind a “dysfunctional” family, who she loved deeply, and of whom she was very proud. She is survived by her four children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.
A private burial service for Barbara will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705. An intimate celebration of life will be held following the burial service.
