

Carol Joy Levy was born on January 10, 1970, to Elaine and Alvin Levy. Carol was the baby of the family and raised in Santa Ana, CA with her sisters Marcia and Elise and her brother Gary. Carol was diagnosed with Down’s syndrome at birth, but that did not stop her parents and her family from involving her in all activities. She was given the middle name of Joy for a reason. Her lifetime was bringing Joy to the family, friends and strangers. She touched a lot of people.
As a youth, Carol attended public schools in Santa Ana. She participated in Special Olympics. Initially, she participated in various running and track events. Eventually, she took a liking to bowling in adulthood. She participated in various bowling leagues at Fountain Valley Bowl. Carol owned her own custom bowling ball and various bowling shirts. She was not shy about showing anyone her bowling awards.
Carol attended a Special Education program at Santa Ana Valley High School. She graduated and participated in the Valley High Commencement in 1992 at Santa Ana Stadium. She was a very popular member of the Student Body.
Carol continued her education through Coastline Community College. Carol took an interest in American Sign Language and became very proficient. She frequently assisted friends and family members with their ASL practice.
Carol Joy Levy passed on October 7, 2021 in Fountain Valley, CA. She is survived by her best friend and lifetime partner, her mother Elaine Levy, sister, Marcia J. Garza and brother-in-law, John Garza, brother, Gary J. Levy and sister-in-law Barbara Jones and sister Elisa R. Becerra and brother-in-law Samuel Becerra. Nieces and nephews, Eric, Justin, Jessica, Sean, Wilyon, Picolya, Rebekah and Will. Great Nephew and Niece, Noah and Emma and numerous others.
