Caroline was an independent, successful businesswoman in the car leasing business and later, was a florist of 11 years before returning to the car business. Caroline was known for her deep faith in our Lord and Savior, and her kindness. She loved her church communities and shared her faith with others. She enjoyed volunteering her time and talents. Caroline loved flowers so much that she continued her passion and artistic abilities well into retirement, often providing flowers for friends and family for special occasions. Caroline overcame a multitude of medical setbacks at various points in her life. At one point, she had a deep sadness over the thought of never being able to smell a flower again. Within her last few years, Caroline resided in a retirement community, where she was able to share her knowledge of flowers and plants. They created an activity called Flowers with Sweet Caroline that allowed the residents to create center pieces together for their dining tables.
Caroline made life-long friends everywhere she went and has friends across the country. She will be missed by many, close and far. She maintained a close relationship with all her high school classmates, with whom she was affectionately known as, “Rocky”. She regularly returned to her hometown to attend high school reunions until as late as 2022.
Caroline was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by one child; her father, Charles; mother, Jean; brother, Wayne; brother, Chuck; and stepmother, Mabel.
Caroline is survived by her two loving children, Raymond and Kimberlee; daughter-in-law, Michelle; and grandchildren, Robert and Braydon. Caroline also lovingly parented Debi, Chad, and Jennifer. She is survived by her nieces: Tammy, Renee, and Cassi. She is also survived by her best “sister” friend, Ginny, and her cousin, John.
Caroline was a lifelong learner who loved all people. She was also an animal lover and welcomed many family pets, grand-dogs and grand-cats into her life. She loved to dance, cook, garden, paint, travel and listen to music. Caroline was an avid Elvis Presley and Lakers basketball fan through and through. Those who knew Caroline will remember her for her smile, fun energy, resilience, laughter, and brightness.
The family would like to extend eternal gratitude to all the many caregivers and medical professionals who joined and encouraged Caroline on her journey. What you do matters! Many were highly blessed in return for knowing our loved one. May her memory shine brightly and her spirit continue to inspire and uplift us.
Private graveside services will be held. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be scheduled for a later date.
