Catalina Espinoza

Catalina tuvo 14 hermanos: 8 mujeres y 6 hombres. La única sobreviviente de los 14 es Consuelo Heredia que acaba de cumplir 100 años.

A los 22 años se casó con Filiberto Espinoza el 19 de enero de 1944 y su matrimonio duro 74 años.

Catalina y Filiberto tuvieron seis hijos: Macrina, Angelita, Jose Luis, Héctor, Teresa, y Beatriz; 8 nietos: Judith, Claudia, Joel, David, Felipe, Stephanie, Elizabeth, y Elian; 9 bisnietos: Jacob, Denise, Israel, Jisselle, Jose, Christian, Skye, Savannah, y Dakota; 2 tataranietas: Elaina e Izabella.

Catalina vivió en Acuitzeramo hasta los 38 años. De ahí vivió con sus hijos y esposo en Tijuana, Baja California por tres años. A partir de 1963, vivió en Santa Ana, California.

Catalina trabajo durante tres años en un Invernadero (Nerceria) y de ahí durante 20 años en una lavandería en la ciudad de Orange. A partir de los 63 años se pensiono dedicándose por completo al hogar.

A Catalina le gustaba después de hacer sus quehaceres en casa disfrutaba de tejer y bordar. Catalina siempre fue una mujer trabajadora, amorosa y sobre todo se preocupaba que no faltara nada para sus hijos.

El sábado 28 de abril de 2018 a los 94 años nos dejó Catalina para poder descansar en paz. Ahora que ha partido nos quedamos con su ejemplo de honradez y rectitud y esos grandes recuerdos que nadie nos borrara.

Was born on June 15, 1923 in Acuitzeramo, Michoacán México. She was the daughter of Salud Cortes and Antonia Luna.

Catalina had 14 siblings: 8 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her sister, Consuelo Heredia, who is 100 years old.

At the age of 22, she married Filiberto Espinoza, on January 19, 1944, and their marriage lasted 74 years.

Catalina and Filiberto had six children: Macrina, Angelita, Jose Luis, Hector, Teresa, and Beatriz; 8 grandchildren: Judith, Claudia, Joel, David, Felipe, Stephanie, Elizabeth, and Elian; 9 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Denise, Israel, Jisselle, Jose, Christian, Skye, Savannah, and Dakota; 2 great great-granddaughters: Elaina and Izabella.

Catalina lived in Acuitzeramo for 38 years. From there she moved with her husband and kids to Tijuana, Baja California and lived there for 3 years. In 1963, they moved to Santa Ana, California.

Catalina worked for 3 years in a plant nursery. She also worked for Angelica Linen Supply for 20 years. She retired at the age of 63 and dedicated herself to her home and family.

Catalina enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching. She was always a hard worker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

On April 28. 2018, at the age of 94, Catalina left us so that she may rest in peace. Now that she has gone, we are left with the beautiful memories that will never be forgotten.

A visitation for Catalina will be held Monday May 7, 2018 from 10:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.

A funeral service will occur on Monday May 7, 2018 from 12:00 p. m. to 1:00 p. m., 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.

A committal service will occur on Monday May 7, 2018 from 1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m., 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
