David Micah Reta

David Micah Reta 65 was taken home with his Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. David was a resident of Auburn, California for the past 3 years. He was born on November 30, 1952 in Texas to Alfred P Cruz and Catalina Casarez Cruz. In his teenage years he moved to Orange County, California where he resided with the Reta family which later adopted him. He grew up loving the outdoors and made it into a career in landscaping. With more than 40 years dedicated to the industry, he moved to Auburn to work with his friend of 20 years Chris Decker. He was a hard worker who dedicated his time to what he loved. David loved music, especially artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival and Andre and the Disciples. He also spent a lot of time reading; his favorite genre was science fiction and said he had read every single book available. Movies were also something he enjoyed; he spent a lot of Sundays with his daughter by eating lunch and seeing a movie. A tradition they had until the very end. He is survived by 1 son and 2 daughters, Joshua David Reta, Pilar Nicole Surch, and Eulalia Marie Reta of Orange County California. There are 3 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by four brothers, and his mother, Eulalia Navarez Joy.
