To the Mendoza family,

I know that nothing I say can ease the pain of losing Dennis. I, too, will mourn his passing until my end but please know that he'd rather we remember how hard he fought his illness and that he fought everyday to live to see you all again. He has had his personal battles but his love and spirit will transcend everything we are taught in church and in life. I know it. He knew it. Dennis was an amazing friend. I wish I had taken photos of him and I together... Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for loss. I am just heartbroken. I am sending light, love, and strength to your family, Dennis... I wish I could do more. I wish I could give you many hugs and have more deep conversations about life, love, and just here your laugh again. Please visit me in my dreams when you have time, my dearest friend.

Our prayers are with you during this most difficult time of sorrow.  May you find comfort from God who comforts us in all our trials.  He is the Hearer of Prayer and the source of all life.  He promises that soon he will swallow up death forever and wipe away the tears from all faces.  He sees and feels your pain. Please accept our condolences for your loss.

I am still in disbelief on the passing of my friend Dennis. I met him in 2010 when i moved to La, through a good friend Michael. That day was so much fun. It’s rare to meet an individual who you connect with on so many levels. I instantly fell in love with his humor, love of music, but above all his sincerity. I had the pleasure of meeting his parents and siblings who were just as amazing as Dennis. In fact one year we drive up to my families home on Christmas Day just so i could see my family. My mom loved him instantly. Dennis was so thoughtful and although we lost contact, i never stopped thinking of him, especially when a Toni Braxton song came on the radio. We reconnected last summer and we loosely made plans for me to visit him in Vegas. Sadly we didn’t get the chance. I love you Dennis. You left an imprint on my life.
