

Ginny Lee Ortlieb, born on May 24, 1949, in Teaneck, New Jersey, passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 75. Ginny passed at her home in Orange, California, where she lived with her beloved husband, Lynn, for 39 years.
Ginny was the cherished daughter of Bill and Harriet Lewis and a loving sister to Linda, Patty, and Loni. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Lynn A. Ortlieb, whom she married on October 5, 1985, at North Orange Christian Church. Although they had no children, their home was filled with love and the joyful presence of their dog, Joey. Ginny also played an important role in the life of her nephew Justin, whom she helped raise and loved deeply.
Ginny had a passion for quilting and enjoyed shopping, particularly online. Her community involvement was extensive; she served as the president of the Soroptimist Club and was a co-founder and president of the Democratic Women’s Forum of Orange County. A dedicated political activist, Ginny championed democratic candidates and women’s rights, participating in protests for women’s rights in the 1960s.
Ginny was known for her strength, supportive nature, kindness, and love for her family. She took great pride in her niece and nephews, whom she cherished as her own. Her advocacy for women and women’s rights left a lasting impact, inspiring her niece, Aja. Above all, Ginny loved her husband, Lynn, and the life they built together.
Ginny's loss is deeply felt by many, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and activism. She was known for her expressions of wisdom, such as, "wear SPF or you'll look old while you're still young," "Cash flow is King," and "Any Checks."
A funeral service for Ginny will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, located at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA, on June 14, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This will be followed by a graveside service at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Ginny's presence touched many lives, and she will be missed deeply. Special gratitude is extended to her next-door neighbor, Liz, for her support and friendship.
