Jere devoted his passion for music to writing lyrics. He was a gifted lyricist filling scores of composition books with his handwritten compositions.
He was known for joking and making everyone around him laugh. Jere was kind and compassionate, especially to those who suffered. He was inherently altruistic, always sharing with those he met who were doing without. He was a source of comfort to those who needed someone to just listen to, sharing his wisdom and often lending them books he thought might be helpful.
Jere loved animals, particularly Cocker Spaniels and would keep a Cocker Spaniel calendar on his wall. His wishes were to volunteer at a Cocker Spaniel rescue and eventually adopt one.
A memorial service to honor him will be held at Fairview Memorial Park in Waverley Chapel on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, from 3pm to 4pm. A reception will be held immediately after the service in the reception room adjacent to the Chapel. Jere’s favorite pizza was from Round Table Pizza who will be catering the reception.
Jere’s devoted family, parents, Jan and Dan Webb, little sister Bekah, his big brother Dan and Dan’s wife Liz, his niece Katherine and nephew Teddy, will always remember his sensitive nature, his kind heart, his wit, his strength and tenacity, and his self-knowledge. His mom will remember his love for ice cream.
Jere’s sister wrote this poem for Jere after he passed:
Ray of light
Shining bright
Free to soar
High as you might
Never fear
Always free
Until you come
Home to me
