Retired Major Joe Jackson Campbell, USAF Major Campbell passed away peacefully at 92 on Tuesday June 6, 2017 with his loving daughter, Chase Mitchell, by his side. He will be buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Santa Ana, California on Tuesday June 20, 2017. During Major Campbell’s career he served in WWII, the Korean War, and in private service in the Viet Nam War. For his outstanding service in the Korean War he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. His wife Julia Ella Campbell preceded him in death in 2001. They spent 36 wonderful years as owners of the Soft Spray Self Serve Car Wash in Tustin California. Major Campbell was the creator and founder of the Self Service Car Wash News servicing the US. Joe and his wife Julia knew no strangers, outgoing and friendly to everyone. They had a storybook life together. Left to cherish their memories are their daughter Chase Mitchell, their grandson Brandal Mitchell, and great-grandsons Quintin, Damarriuss, and Braylon.
