Josephine Rosas Lopez

Josephine “Josie” Rosas Lopez, age 85, went to heaven on April 24, 2020. She passed away at her home in Orange County, surrounded by her loving family. Josie was born in October of 1934, in Los Angeles County. Her parents were Albert and Isabel Rosas. She was child number 7 of 10 siblings.

Josie had a big family of her own, 6 children from her previous marriage. She later married Jose “Joe” Lopez. They had 2 children and were married for 42 years. They lived in Santa Ana for over 30 years. She was a professional house cleaner for 17 years. Her biggest achievement was her family. Josie’s home was always full of laughter and great food. She was an excellent cook. No one ever left hungry. She passed that skill to all her children. She was beautiful, bold, strong and had a captivating smile. Josie will be truly missed, but her legacy lives on in everyone she touched.

Josie Lopez’s service was held privately on Wednesday May 6, 2020 at Olivewood Memorial Park.

She is survived by her children Rosemary, Susie, Diane, Herman, Sabina, Joe and Martha and also by her brothers Richard and Angel.

Josie had 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents Albert and Isabel, brothers Paul, Albert, John, Henry, Armando “Chappy”, Tony and her only sister Mary and also by her son Ruben
