Judy was born in Casper, Wyoming on June 12, 1948. The family moved to Midland, Texas, where she attended grade school and then moved to Roswell, New Mexico, where she attended grade school, graduated from Roswell High, attended beauty school, and met Dave Hendricks. She and Dave married on May 7, 1967, and had two children together, Justin Neal Hendricks (1970) and Trisha Leigh Hendricks (1972). After a couple of moves with Dave’s service in the AirForce, they ended up settling in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dave and Judy divorced in 1981, and Judy stayed in Albuquerque until the year 2000 when she moved to California to be with her children and watch her grandchildren grow up. Judy continued her career as a hairdresser which began in 1966 and ended when she retired in 2018.
Judy’s number one passion was her grandchildren, and she loved being at every school and sporting event to cheer on her favorite humans. She was artistic, creative, and loved to sew and read. Judy was full of life and love and never hesitated to share that love. She was bubbly, kind, strong, compassionate, a bit sassy, and loved her family fiercely. She was completely selfless and always put others needs before her own. Her joy in life came from seeing those that she cared for happy, joyful, and fulfilled. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all those she touched over the years.
Judy’s rescue dog, JAX, gave her so much happiness and companionship over the past 6 years. She spoiled him rotten and completely adored him. Their favorite thing to do was to get in the golf cart and drive around her complex and shopping centers so that Jax could see everyone and smell all of the smells. He was her little buddy, and they so needed each other. She saved him, but he also saved her! In this regard, in lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined, please feel free to make a donation to I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue in her honor.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Trisha Greek, son-in-law, Sam Greek, two grandchildren, Gavin Greek and Mason Greek, her brothers, Rockland Arnold (Jan Arnold), Lyman McKee, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Conrad Arnold, her mother, Letha Angela Arnold Belyeu, her sister, Sherrie Urban, her brother, Tommie McKee, and her son Justin Neal Hendricks.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 am on July 11, 2025, at Fairhaven Memorial Chapel in Santa Ana, CA.
